NOTES
Gear rows, prices and the claims attached to them
Gear is the category where price and usefulness most often disagree. A cheap tool that prevents a real loss is worth more than an expensive one whose behaviour only appears in a video, so the row records the price and the time it was read, while the gear entry records what the item was last confirmed to do.
Rotation is the second half of the problem. A gear row that has aged out does not mean the item is gone forever; it means the shop has not been re-read. Treat the board as a record of readings, and check the entry's behaviour date before you decide a purchase protects the crops you actually grow.
Where a row and an entry disagree, the newer dated reading wins and the older one is kept rather than deleted. A buying decision made on an undated claim is the most expensive mistake in this category, and the board is built to make the date impossible to miss.
